Festival of Speed On Tweed

The Festival of Speed on Tweed was a non-profit event run by the Rotary Club and a group of extremely dedicated volunteers. At the conclusion of the event, all profits are distributed to pre-selected National and local charities.Festival of Speed on Tweed

The event itself was classic and tasteful with only a select group of notable vehicles accepted and fine food and prestige beverages offered to the viewing public.

Saturday night entertainment was provided by Opera Queensland and Vavachi Occasions.

In the past years the following organisations have received donations from the Festival: Children's Cancer Institute Australia; Murwillumbah Hospital; Apex; Rotary Australia; State Emergency Services

Gerry Lister entered his 1800S and found the weekend to be most enjoyable with lots of excitement on the closed streets of Murwillumbah. There were many drivers from the past that he caught up with, among the names were: John Goss, Bob Holden, Barry Ferguson, Paul Samuels, Leo Geoghegan.
